We successfully completed the Support to Start-ups project, for Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in the 2023–2028 Strategic, Sustainable and Circular Business Transformation.

2. 11. 2023

Under the auspices of SPIRIT Slovenia, we participated in providing project support to micro, small and medium-sized start-up enterprises in the 2023–2028 Strategic, Sustainable and Circular Business Transformation. The project was implemented in two phases, Phase A and Phase B. During Phase A, the Sustainable and Circular Transformation Academy held three workshops. In addition to the workshops, we were guided through the processes of strategic, sustainable and circular business transformation by a designated expert with whom we held meetings at the company.

Developing a long-term strategy for sustainability and circular economy

As part of this project, we developed a long-term strategy for sustainability and circular economy based on an in-depth analysis of our current processes, products and services, as well as an analysis of our competitors. We reviewed and adapted our current model to further incorporate the principles of sustainability and circular economy. We developed an overview of sustainability-oriented strategic activities and an action plan for their implementation in our business strategy. We identified key indicators for strategic monitoring and measurement of business and sustainability effects, including on the environment, employees, society and economy.

Developing a manufacturing technology for critical bolts with a permanently higher dynamic hardness

After the successful completion of Phase A – Part I, which was a prerequisite for applying our project in Phase B, we prepared a project to develop a manufacturing technology for critical bolts with permanently higher dynamic hardness.

During this project, we will undertake to develop a more sustainable process for the production of BSL-3 critical steel bolts, which require the highest level of criticality and are reserved for applications in which bolt failure is unacceptable, i.e. critical applications in the oil and gas industry.

Bolt production using mechanical and heat treatment technology meets API BSL-3 criteria, while our introduction of new technology will effectively address sustainability challenges by meeting and exceeding API BSL-3 requirements.
