We have obtained certification for the ISO 50001 standard (Energy Management System).

For many years, our company, Blaj Fasteners, has supported and actively participated in the Inženirke in inženirji bomo! (We Will Be Engineers!) initiative. The aim of the project is to promote engineering, technology, and science careers, as well as innovation, among students at Slovenian high schools. The goal is to foster talent development and inspire young people to embrace creativity in technical careers and innovation, which will lead to increased added value and competitiveness, as well as other skills and competencies of the future.

At the end of 2024, we celebrated the work anniversaries of our dedicated employees who have been with the Anton Blaj company for 10, 25, 35, 40 and even an honourable 45 years. And some retired this year after more than 30 years with the company.

Under the auspices of SPIRIT Slovenia, we participated in providing project support to micro, small and medium-sized start-up enterprises in the 2023–2028 Strategic, Sustainable and Circular Business Transformation. The project was implemented in two phases, Phase A and Phase B. During Phase A, the Sustainable and Circular Transformation Academy held three workshops. In addition to the workshops, we were guided through the processes of strategic, sustainable and circular business transformation by a designated expert with whom we held meetings at the company.

We introduced ourselves to prospective employees on the 25th of May at Hotel City Maribor, at the Job Fair organised by Mojedelo.com.

At Spirit Slovenia, who organised the Academy of Sustainable and Circular Transformation (TKT Academy), we discussed the programme and met the other companies that participate in the project.

Government representatives, representatives of research institutions, and companies from Germany and Slovenia discussed hydrogen as an opportunity for the economy and carbon neutrality at the Slovenian-German Hydrogen Day. Good practices for this field were presented – among others, the development of bolts for hydrogen engines by the Blaj Fasteners company.

The Human Resources Development and Comprehensive Management System project AB20.20, supported by Spirit, according to which we implemented 10-minute meetings in the mornings, for better efficiency and brainstorming in order to resolve challenges in all areas of operation, has already been well accepted in the company.

At the end of September, our company will launch an application for the advanced planning and scheduling of ordered products, accurate monitoring of product locations and informing customers about delivery dates.
