At Spirit Slovenia, who organised the Academy of Sustainable and Circular Transformation (TKT Academy), we discussed the programme and met the other companies that participate in the project.

Government representatives, representatives of research institutions, and companies from Germany and Slovenia discussed hydrogen as an opportunity for the economy and carbon neutrality at the Slovenian-German Hydrogen Day. Good practices for this field were presented – among others, the development of bolts for hydrogen engines by the Blaj Fasteners company.

The Human Resources Development and Comprehensive Management System project AB20.20, supported by Spirit, according to which we implemented 10-minute meetings in the mornings, for better efficiency and brainstorming in order to resolve challenges in all areas of operation, has already been well accepted in the company.

At the end of September, our company will launch an application for the advanced planning and scheduling of ordered products, accurate monitoring of product locations and informing customers about delivery dates.

We are happy to announce that the Blaj company has been awarded a gold medal for sustainability in 2022. We are extremely proud of this achievement, but at the same time it came as no surprise. From the very start of our business we have been determined to write our story in a sustainable way.

From 6 to 9 September 2022, we participated at SMM Hamburg, the leading international maritime trade fair that took place in Hamburg, Germany. We proudly presented our BLAJ FASTENERS PASSION FOR ENGINEERING trademark, with a focus on sustainability. At the trade fair, they recognised us as one of three or four leading bolt manufacturers.

We often emphasise that we are a global company, however, our heart belongs to our local environment. We know that our employees are our biggest treasure, and we are happy to responsibly and positively contribute to the community we come from and work in. We are happy to be a part of the successful story of the youth archery club “Hmeljček” which we proudly sponsor.

We have completed the Digitalising Blaj Fasteners digital transformation project, which tackled the digitalisation of processes in our company. The project was co-financed by the Slovene Enterprise Fund (SEF), which refunded 60% of our investment in development due to successful inclusion of the project. We digitalised the customer experience, data strategy, processes and digital solutions, digital business models, strategy for the digital development of personnel, cybersecurity, and Industry 4.0.

We shall introduce a new investment in November: the CAQ quality monitoring system developed by world-renowned manufacturer Böhme & Weihs. By applying a process-oriented quality management system, we will achieve better product quality at a lower price.
