Thread rolling
Thread rolling after hardening is available up to quality level of 12.9 (for metric threads, UN, UNC, UNF, BSW or according to customer specifications), in order to minimise friction coefficient, retain steel quality and extend the bolt service life.

Precision to excellence

In dimension control, analyses and metallography (arrangement of fibres or measurement of the thread flank section hardness) the machining process operators and the laboratory work hand-in-hand.

The thread rolling process is CNC controlled, which ensures:

  • precise control of the plastic forming process since the first workpiece-tool interaction;
  • precise control of the penetration of the tool into the workpiece;
  • precise control of the final thread calibration stage.

Thread rolling machine tools are fitted with measurement systems to ensure excellent final products:

  • measurement of the force required for the plastic forming of the material;
  • verification of strength;
  • verification of the correctness of machining – diameter of the thread rolling spindle;
  • in the event of deviations, the machine rejects the material to eliminate the risk of defective final products. 

Strong and dynamic

We primarily apply thread rolling after heat treatment, which significantly contributes to fatigue strength in the thread region since the material undergoes plastic forming at the end of the technological process.

Equipped for long service life

Our machines are fitted with cast casings rather than welded ones, which significantly improves tool service life. Machines operate in two directions: thread rollers approach the workpiece from both sides to avoid its transversal dislocation and improve positional tolerances of the threads.
